Rolling Wheels Sound FX Library
Our Wheels library was painstakingly recorded over the winter nights of 2016 in a hospital. We lacked these sounds in our own library so we decided to create a comprehensive bundle, inspired by our recordist friends at Sound Dogs to always create unique sounds for the projects we are working on, were providing over 115 unique sounds of rolling carts, tables, stands, beds, and all the button clicks, slides, latches, and electronics that come with them. After many hours of mastering, we’re happy to make these available for download.
Provided are LR and MS Recordings. LR is decoded from the MS and has the approximate stereo width as an XY recording. On the MS tracks the mid mic is on the left and the side mic on the right.
The LR can be encoded back into MS or if panned center, cancels out the side mics to just play the mid mic. Alternately in the provided MS file, the right side channel can be dropped so you can use the mono center. The 2 files are mastered the same. Occasionallythe levels vary on the MS track as these are the levels set to keep the the tracks phase coherent All. tracks are edited to be M&E friendly, and monitored through a phase scope to again, keep the tracks phase coherent.
All recordings were recorded at 192kHz with a Fostex FR-2 recorder, Sennheiser 416 mic, Project Studio C4 mic, and Ambient Emesser ATE-208 bi-directional mic and mastered in Pro Tools.
All recordings are recorded in Toronto, Ontario Canada, by Ryan MacNeill and Steven Ejbick of Textures Sound.
